The Orlando Magic visit the Charlotte Bobcats in their final Southeast Division road game of the 2013/14 season Friday.
Tipoff between Orlando and Charlotte is set for 7:00 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM in Orlando. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5:00 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando's last time out: The Magic fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 119-98, in a game which was never really competitive: Cleveland built a 70-47 lead at halftime, setting a Magic season-worst for points allowed in a half, and never looked back. Dion Waiters led five Cavs in double-figure scoring with 26 points. Victor Oladipo scored 16 off the Magic's bench.
Charlotte's last time out: The Bobcats picked up their second straight win Wednesday, 123-93, against the Philadelphia 76ers, arguably the worst team in the NBA despite the fact that it doesn't own the league's worst record. Al Jefferson dominated with 25 points and 10 rebounds, and Anthony Tolliver did a bit of everything off the bench by tallying 16 points, eight boards, and five assists.
The last meeting: Orlando pulled off an upset against Charlotte in overtime on March 28th, coming back from 16 points down to win in overtime by a 110-105 final. Nik Vučević got the better of Jefferson in their individual matchup, scoring 24 points and corralling 23 rebounds, while Arron Afflalo scored 17 points including the three-pointer which forced overtime. Jefferson scored 20 points with eight rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Kemba Walker led the Bobcats with 24 points and eight assists, but shot only 8-of-25 from the floor.
