The Orlando Magic announced Sunday that starting point guard Jameer Nelson will miss that night's game against the Brooklyn Nets due to a strained left groin. Victor Oladipo, the second overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, will start in Nelson's place.

Nelson, 32, owns per-game averages of 12.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and a team-high seven assists on 39.4 percent shooting from the floor and 34.8 percent shooting from three-point distance, on 5.8 triple-tries per game.

Sunday's start will mark the 42nd of Oladipo's career. In his prior appearances in the first five, the Indiana product has averaged 15.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game on 40 percent shooting from the floor.

Tipoff between Orlando and Brooklyn is set for 6:00 PM on Fox Sports Florida in the Orlando market.
