The Orlando Magic announced Sunday that center Nikola Vučević will miss the team's final three games of the 2013/14 season due to a sore Achilles' tendon.
The Magic made Vučević a late scratch for their game against the Charlotte Bobcats on April 4th due to the ailment. He has not played since that time, in which span the Magic have posted a 2-2 record. In the interim, rookie big man Dewayne Dedmon has taken Vučević's spot in the starting lineup.
Vučević's season ends with his posting per-game averages of 14.2 points, 11 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.9 combined steals and blocks. Injuries will have forced him to miss a combined 25 games.
The Magic's season continues, minus their budding star center, Sunday night against the Brooklyn Nets. Tipoff is set for 6:00 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida in the Orlando market.
