Magic at Nets: Final roadtrip begins with visit to Brooklyn

Orlando plays its penultimate road game of the season Sunday.

The Orlando Magic open their final roadtrip of the season Monday in one of the five boroughs as they take on the Brooklyn Nets.

Tipoff between Orlando and Brooklyn is set for 6:00 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM in Orlando. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 4:00 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.

Orlando's last time out: The Magic squandered a 14-point lead Friday against the Washington Wizards, falling by a 96-86 final after scoring just 16 points in 4-of-15 shooting in the fourth quarter. In defeat, Arron Afflalo led the Magic with 19 points, while Jameer Nelson scored 12 with 11 assists.

Brooklyn's last time out: The Nets dropped to 43-36 on the season Friday against the Atlanta Hawks, 93-88, as they shot 43.5 percent from the floor. Rookie big man Mason Plumlee led the hosts with 17 points off the bench. Paul Millsap tallied a game-best 27 points with 10 rebounds for the victors.

The last meeting: Wednesday night, the Magic improved to 2-0 at home against Brooklyn with a 115-111 win despite 31 points from Joe Johnson. Afflalo led the Magic with 25 points, and E'Twaun Moore came off the bench to shoot 6-of-6 for 17 of his own. The Nets played without starting swingmen Paul Pierce and Shaun Livingston.
