Jameer Nelson will return to the Orlando Magic's lineup Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs, reports John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com, after missing the team's two previous games due to illness. Ronnie Price started those two games in Nelson's stead, averaging four points and 3.5 assists on 30.8 percent shooting.

Nelson, 32, is averaging 12.3 points and 6.9 assists per game on 39.2 percent shooting from the floor and 35.6 percent shooting from three-point range.

Denton also notes that Victor Oladipo, the Magic's top rookie, will not play Saturday. The second overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft has a sore left ankle and Orlando will hold him out as a precaution. That same ailment ruled him out of the Magic's loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

"I think three weeks ago I said I was going to be judicious is his approach and I want to keep him healthy," Orlando coach Jacque Vaughn said regarding Oladipo, according to Denton. "What I don’t want to do is turn a little ache and pain into something serious."

Prior to Wednesday's game, Oladipo stood as the only Magic player to appear in each of the team's games in the 2013/14 season. The Indiana product is averaging 13.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, four assists, and 1.6 steals per game.

Tipoff between Orlando and San Antonio is set for 8:30 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM.
