The Orlando Magic will not have their top two point guards available Wednesday against the Houston Rockets.

Prior to tipoff, Orlando announced that it had placed Jameer Nelson on the inactive list due to illness. Nelson did not practice Wednesday and he sat out Monday's victory against the Philadelphia 76ers. Nelson is the only Orlando player remaining from Rockets center Dwight Howard's tenure in Orlando, so his absence removes a bit of intrigue from the contest.

Meanwhile, star rookie Victor Oladipo will sit Wednesday due to soreness in his left ankle. He had appeared in each of Orlando's first 62 games of the season, the only player to have that distinction.

In 56 appearances, Nelson is averaging 12.3 points and 6.9 assists on 39.2 percent shooting from the floor. Oladipo has posted per-game averages of 13.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, four assists, and 1.6 steals on 41.1 percent shooting.

Orlando and Houston tip off at 7 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM.
