The Orlando Magic wrap a four-game roadtrip Saturday when they visit the Miami Heat in the season's final meeting between the Florida rivals.
Tipoff between Orlando and Miami is set for 7:30 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM in Orlando. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5:30 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando's last time out: The Magic snapped a 16-game road losing streak Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers, 101-90, as three starters tallied double-doubles. Nikola Vucevic led the team with 21 points and 13 rebounds; Victor Oladipo scored 17 points with 11 boards of his own; and Jameer Nelson tallied 16 points and 12 assists without a turnover. The Philly native scored 12 points of those points in the fourth quarter to give Orlando a comfortable lead. Thaddeus Young scored 19 to lead Philly.
Miami's last time out: The Heat picked up their sixth straight win, and their ninth in their last 10 games, on Thursday night by blowing out the New York Knicks by a 108-82 final. LeBron James scored 31 points on 13-of-19 shooting, and Chris Bosh added 23 on 10-of-13 as Miami shot 60.8 percent from the floor.
The last meeting: On January 4th, the Heat put Orlando away in the second half and prevailed by a 110-94 final score. The Magic trailed by just two points at the break. Bosh and Dwyane Wade scored 20 points apiece to lead five Heat players in double-figures. Nelson's game-best 21 points weren't enough to end Miami's run of success against the Magic: counting January's game, the Heat have won eight straight in the head-to-head series against their in-state rivals.
