The Orlando Magic announced Tuesday their plans to honor John Gabriel, Jeff Turner, and Sam Vincent during Friday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. To celebrate its 25th anniversary season, the team has previously honored Tracy McGrady; Nick Anderson; Pat Williams and Jim Hewitt; Dennis Scott; Pat Garrity; Horace Grant; and Bo Outlaw on these "Legends Nights."

Turner and Vincent played on the Magic in their expansion season of 1989/90. Gabriel also joined the team that year and worked his way up to general manager, a post he held from from 1999-2004.

In three Magic seasons, Vincent averaged 10.1 points and 4.6 assists per game. Turner spent seven seasons with the team, posting 6.5 points and 3.6 rebounds. He ranks eighth in team history in games played. Both men ended their playing careers in Orlando. Turner now serves as the team's color analyst on Fox Sports Florida game telecasts.

Gabriel is best known for inking McGrady and Grant Hill to identical max-dollar contracts in the summer of 2000. He also selected Mike Miller with the fifth overall pick in that year's Draft; Miller went on to win Rookie of the Year, and the NBA named Gabriel its Executive of the Year.
