One day after noting that the Washington Wizards attempted to acquire Jameer Nelson, OrlandoMagic.com scribe John Denton tweeted another NBA trade rumor involving the Orlando Magic's veteran point guard: the New York Knicks, says Denton, attempted "to unload Raymond Felton on them" in exchange for Nelson at the NBA trade deadline.

The Knicks didn't find any takers for their own veteran point guard, who is averaging 10.4 points and six assists per game on 40.3 percent shooting in his ninth season. On Tuesday, or five days after the deadline, he was arrested and charged with three gun-related crimes, including two felonies. According to ShamSports' salary database, he is owed a shade less than $8 million over the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons.

Nelson, who has stated his preference to retire with the Magic, is averaging 12.4 points and 6.8 assists on 39.5 percent shooting. He owns Orlando's all-time assist record and ranks fourth in scoring, with an outside chance of catching Tracy McGrady for third in that category before the 2013/14 season concludes.
