Magic at 76ers: Lotto-bound teams meet in Philadelphia

The Orlando Magic conclude a back-to-back set Wednesday by visiting the Philadelphia 76ers, a team that's lost its last 11 games by an average of 20.3 points each. That fact makes it easy to understand why Liberty Ballers blogger Jake Pavorsky describes Philadelphia as "the antithesis of a fun NBA team."

Orlando's last time out: The Magic scored at a solid clip Tuesday against the Washington Wizards, netting 106 points on 50 percent shooting, but couldn't defend solidly enough to earn a victory. John Wall scored 27 points and dished seven assists to lead Washington to a 115-106 victory, and three other Wizards scored 20-plus points in the offensive eruption. Rookie guard Victor Oladipo scored 20 points for the Magic, while Maurice Harkless added an efficient 22 with five boards.

Philadelphia's last time out: In a new low point of their season, the Sixers fell to the league-worst Milwaukee Bucks, 130-110, at home on Monday. The performance had Tom Ziller wondering if the rebuilding Sixers are "too terrible" and Liberty Ballers asking if they'll win a single game the rest of the season.

The last meeting: On December 3rd, the Sixers fended off the Magic, 126-125, in a double-overtime thriller. Oladipo and Philly guard Michael Carter-Williams traded triple-doubles and Arron Afflalo scored a career-best 43 points, but Carter-Williams' squad earned the win. Philly never trailed in the second overtime, taking the lead for good on a Carter-Williams free throw 41 seconds into the second bonus frame.
