Glen Davis left the Orlando Magic's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday with a sore right Achilles' tendon and he will not return, the team announced.

As Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel notes, Davis' sudden absence, in conjunction with the NBA trade deadline approaching Thursday, could lead to "speculation" regarding his inclusion in a possible deal.

Counting Wednesday, Davis had started 43 consecutive games for the Magic. Prior to that game, the LSU product was averaging 12.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.

Davis checked out Wednesday with 6:18 to play in the first quarter. He went 0-of-4 from the floor for one rebound and one foul before exiting. Andrew Nicholson and Jason Maxiell figure to log plenty of minutes at power forward in Davis' absence.
