Less than 48 hours remain until the 2014 NBA trade deadline, and the Orlando Magic still do not look poised to make any moves, according to media reports. The most recent word from Sam Amick is that the team is "focused" on finding takers for point guard Jameer Nelson and big man Glen Davis, but the USA Today scribe says the team is "not getting anywhere just yet" on that front.
In a recent interview with Jared Zwerling of Bleacher Report, Nelson indicated that he'd like to retire with the Magic, the only team for which he's played in his NBA career, now in its 10th season.
Amick also reports that the Magic "aren't eager" to trade veteran swingman Arron Afflalo, their leading scorer. On February 8th, Amick reported that the Magic didn't feel any "urgency" to part with the seventh-year player, so his update Tuesday indicates that Orlando hasn't changed its stance.
The trading deadline is set for Thursday, February 20th, at 3 PM Eastern.
