In a new mock Draft based on intel gathered during the 2014 NBA All-Star Break, Basketball Insiders writer Alex Kennedy projects the Orlando Magic to select Australian combo guard Dante Exum with the third overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Exum, 18, posted per-game averages of 18.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game in the FIBA U19 Championship for Men. He decided to forego the NCAA and instead enter the Draft, hiring the agents Rob Pelinka and Brandon Rosenthal to represent him.

In this mock, Kennedy has the Milwaukee Bucks taking Kansas center Joel Embiid with the first overall selection. Kennedy's next pick is Andrew Wiggins, Embiid's teammate, whom he chooses for the Philadelphia 76ers.

With the WoNK pick, Kennedy selects Doug McDermott 13th overall. Sunday evening, the Creighton forward surpassed Larry Bird for 13th place on the NCAA's all-time scoring list. In his senior season, McDermott is averaging 25.9 points, seven rebounds, and 1.6 assists on 63.6 percent True Shooting.

One interesting note from Kennedy's mock: the Draft stock of Duke forward Jabari Parker has dropped because of concerns that he might be "a tweener." Basketball Insiders' first mock had Orlando making Parker the second overall pick in 2014.
