The Orlando Magic announced Monday their plans to honor Penny Hardaway during their game against the New York Knicks on February 21st.

The Magic acquired Hardaway's Draft rights in 1993 and paired the 6-foot-7 dynamo with Shaquille O`Neal to form one of the youngest and most feared duos in the NBA. In just their second season together, Hardaway and O'Neal led the Magic to their first-ever NBA Finals.

In his six Magic seasons, Hardaway averaged 19 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game, earning four All-Star appearances for his stellar play. In team history, he ranks seventh in points (7018), ninth in rebounds (1752), fourth in assists (2343), third in steals (718), and ninth in blocks (191).

The first 2500 fans in attendance on the 21st will receive a commemorative photograph, measuring eight by 10 inches, of Hardaway and Magic guard E`Twaun Moore. Hardaway will also join Paul Kennedy and Nick Anderson on Magic Live, the Fox Sports Florida pregame show, that night. In addition, Hardaway will appear with David Steele and Jeff Turner on the Fox Sports Florida telecast of Friday's game. Tipoff against the Knicks is set for 7 PM.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary season, the team has previously honored Tracy McGrady; Anderson; Pat Williams and Jim Hewitt; Dennis Scott; Pat Garrity; Horace Grant; Bo Outlaw; and John Gabriel, Jeff Turner, and Sam Vincent on these "Legends Nights."
