The Orlando Magic play their third game in four nights Friday as their West Coast trip continues. Their opponent: another rebuilding club, the Utah Jazz.
Tipoff between Orlando and Utah is set for 9:00 PM Eastern. Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM will offer live coverage in the Orlando market.
Orlando's last time out: The Magic made a brief run in the second quarter Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers, trimming their deficit to three points, but L.A. ultimately ran away with the game. The Clippers led by as much as 31 in a 114-90 rout. J.J. Redick, Chris Paul, and Blake Griffin combined for 60 points for the victors. Tobias Harris posted an efficient 16-point, eight-rebound line, and Ben Gordon added 11 off Orlando's bench.
Utah's last time out: The Jazz dropped their seventh straight game Wednesday, 123-104, to the visiting Toronto Raptors. Six Jazz players scored in double figures, with the young frontcourt duo of Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors leading the way with 19 apiece. But Utah had no answer for the Raptors' offense: Toronto shot 57 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent on three-pointers.
Last season: Utah swept the two-game series from Orlando. On March 19th, it escaped with an 89-88 win in Salt Lake City, as rookie point guard Trey Burke drilled the winning shot with two seconds to play. Victor Oladipo shot just 5-of-14 from the floor, but nonetheless led Orlando with 19 points to go with six rebounds and four assists.
