Coming off their first victory of the season, Orlando Magic return to Amway Center on Friday to face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves for one game before heading back out on the road.
Tipoff between Orlando and Minnesota is set for 7:00 PM Eastern. Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM will offer live coverage in the Orlando market.
Orlando's last time out: In a back-and-forth contest against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, the Magic came out on top when Tobias Harris sank a long two-pointer as time expired for a 91-89 win. Harris scored 18 points on 18 shots, while Channing Frye tallied 13 points and 11 boards for his first double-double in a Magic uniform.
Minnesota's last time out: Thanks to a 26-point effort from Kevin Martin, the Timberwolves upset the Brooklyn Nets on the road Wednesday, 98-91, to improve to 2-2. An all-around solid effort from Minnesota's starting five lifted it to victory: Ricky Rubio, Nikola Pekovic, and Thaddeus Young all recorded double-doubles, with Rubio coming just two boards shy of a triple-double.
Last season: The teams split the season series, with each club coming out on top on its home floor. On April 5th, the last meeting, Orlando picked up the victory as five players scored in double-figures. Rubio's 18-point, 10-assist, three-steal effort wasn't enough to withstand Orlando's balanced offense, which shot 54.4 percent from the field.
