The Erie BayHawks begin their 2014/15 season on the road Friday night with the first of two games against the Idaho Stampede. In advance of that game, the team waived four players, setting its opening-night roster. Erie is now affiliated with the Orlando Magic, marking the first time in Orlando history it has had a one-to-one affiliation with a D-League team.
In addition to Magic training-camp cuts Kadeem Batts, Drew Crawford, Seth Curry, and Peyton Siva, the BayHawks' roster features 2014 NBA D-League Draft picks John Bohannon, Daniel Coursey, and Lenzelle Smith. Mike Schactner and Jarvis Williams joined the team via its open tryout in Erie. The only player returning from the 2013/14 BayHawks is Darren White, who may have worked out with the Magic over the summer.
All of Erie's games will stream legally and for free via the D-League's official YouTube channel. Tipoff between the BayHawks and Stampede is set for 9 PM Eastern on Friday. The second game gets underway at 5 PM on Saturday.
