The Erie BayHawks on Tuesday acquired the returning-player rights to Seth Curry via trade with the Santa Cruz Warriors. In exchange for Curry's rights, the BayHawks conveyed to Santa Cruz the rights to Scott Suggs as well as a first-round pick in the 2015 NBA D-League Draft.

Curry is currently in training camp with the Orlando Magic, the BayHawks' NBA affiliate. Should the Magic cut Curry upon camp's conclusion--a foregone conclusion, according to Basketball Insiders publisher Steve Kyler--and should Curry return to the D-League for 2014/15, he will play for the BayHawks.

Curry played for the Magic in the 2014 Orlando Pro Summer League, averaging 9.8 points per game on 43.9 percent shooting. In 38 appearances for the Warriors in the 2013/14 NBA D-League season, he posted per-game averages of 19.7 points and 5.8 assists en route to earning a spot on the D-League's All-Star squad.
