Jameer Nelson injury: Magic point guard leaves Bucks game with sore left knee

The veteran point guard left after the first quarter.

Jameer Nelson left the Orlando Magic's game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday due to a sore left knee and he will not return, the team announced.

Nelson, the Magic's point guard, started and played the entire first quarter against Milwaukee. He contributed two points, one rebound, and three assists on 1-of-2 shooting.

Entering Friday's game, Nelson was averaging 13.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.7 assists on 40.5 percent shooting from the floor and 37.4 percent shooting from three-point range.

Doron Lamb started the second half in Nelson's place.
