The NBA announced Friday that Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo has won Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month honors for December.
Oladipo averaged 12.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in December, scoring in double figures 10 times in 15 appearances. He also recorded a 26-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist triple-double, as well as a 16-point, 11-assist double-double.
With Friday's announcement, Oladipo becomes the first Magic player to win Rookie of the Month since Mike Miller split the award with Kenyon Martin in March 2001. Miller went on to win Rookie of the Year.
Orlando picked Oladipo with the second overall selection in the 2013 NBA Draft.
In the Western Conference, Utah Jazz point guard Trey Burke came away with December rookie honors.
