If the Orlando Magic wish to trade Glen Davis, they might have a hard time finding interested parties, reports Steve Kyler in a chat he hosted at BasketballInsiders.com Friday.
"I have not heard anyone mention Big Baby as a player they would like to acquire," Kyler writes. "I would not expect a Davis trade unless it involved packing in a Mo Harkless or an Andrew Nicholson to make it happen."
Davis, 28, is averaging 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game in the 2013/14 season, shooting 45.4 percent from the floor with five double-doubles. According to ShamSports' salary database, he is owed $6.6 million in 2014/15, the final year of his contract.
Davis missed 48 games spanning the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons after breaking the fifth metatarsal in his left foot, an injury which required two operations to fix. Since returning, he has played in 29 consecutive games, with 27 starts.
Though Davis remains productive, the Magic might be interested in trading him, given his age, where they stand in their rebuild, and the presence of younger players with more potential--specifically Nicholson, Tobias Harris, and Kyle O'Quinn--at his position.
