The Orlando Magic announced Sunday the signing of Victor Oladipo, their first-round selection in the 2013 NBA Draft. The team did not disclose any details of the contract, but it is governed by the rookie salary scale.
On June 27th, the Magic made Oladipo the second overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft. The former Indiana Hoosier averaged 10.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and two combined steals and blocks in his three seasons (107 games) in Bloomington.
In his junior season, Oladipo earned Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors and averaged 13.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and three combined steals and blocks.
The Magic announced the signing roughly 20 minutes before Oladipo was due to take the floor in Orlando colors for the first time. He's competing in the Orlando Pro Summer League.
