It's not likely that the Magic and the Clippers will work out before Thursday a trade involving Eric Bledsoe, a report says.

Citing two "league sources," Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports that the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers are unlikely to complete a trade involving L.A. point guard Eric Bledsoe within the next few days.

The trade "is not imminent and has minimal likelihood of occurring before or during Thursday’s NBA Draft," says Robbins.

Mark Heisler reported Monday that a trade involving Orlando sending Arron Afflalo to L.A. for Bledsoe and Caron Butler was "expected" to happen on Draft night. Subsequent reports indicated that Orlando might have to part with Andrew Nicholson and a future Draft pick could be involved, and that Doc Rivers' presence with the Clippers could put any trade involving Bledsoe on hold.

The Magic have the second overall pick in Thursday's Draft, and have not been linked to many point guards in that spot, despite their clear need for one, given the free agency of Beno Udrih, unsteady play of E'Twaun Moore, and advancing age of Jameer Nelson.

In Orlando, and freed from having to back up Chris Paul, Bledsoe might be able to achieve his potential. However, this latest news indicates that he probably won't don Magic pinstripes anytime soon, if at all.
