With nine days remaining until the 2013 NBA Draft, the Orlando Magic reportedly prefer Indiana shooting guard Victor Oladipo to Kansas shooting guard Ben McLemore, reports Chad Ford of ESPN Insider.
"While McLemore might have more pure upside," writes Ford, "I continue to hear that Oladipo has the upper hand." Ford also says that McLemore's workout with the Magic "wasn't terrific."
Oladipo and McLemore are not Orlando's only options with the second overall pick. If the Cleveland Cavaliers pass on Kentucky big man Nerlens Noel, then Orlando will consider selecting him. Ford says that Cleveland will most likely pick Noel, but that it is also considering Oladipo, McLemore, UNLV combo forward Anthony Bennett, Maryland center Alex Len, and Georgetown small forward Otto Porter.
A plurality of Magic fans believe McLemore is the best prospect in the Draft, as the freshman garnered 51 percent of the vote for no. 1 on the Orlando Pinstriped Post Community Draft Board. Noel placed second, with Oladipo going third.
In the SB Nation NBA Mock Draft, Orlando Pinstriped Post selected McLemore on the Magic's behalf. Follow the action in this StoryStream at Ridiculous Upside.
