The Orlando Magic will open their 2013/14 preseason schedule on Wednesday, October 9th with a visit to Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, where they'll host the New Orleans Pelicans, the team announced Tuesday.

The October visit will mark the third time Orlando has played a preseason game in Jacksonville. Its most recent trip there was in 2008, when it defeated the Miami Heat, 100-92, behind 26 points and 14 rebounds from Dwight Howard. Rashard Lewis added 21 points and eight boards in the win.

Orlando will announce its full preseason schedule at a later date. The Magic are set to begin training camp on October 1st at Amway Center.

Orlando split the season-series with the Pelicans, then known as the Hornets, in 2012/13; each team won on its opponent's home floor.
