With the NBA Draft approaching in June, the Orlando Magic have reportedly set their sights on Kansas Jayhawks shooting guard Ben McLemore, reports Joe Kotoch of SheridanHoops.com. If the Magic win the Draft Lottery, and thus the right to select Kentucky Wildcats center Nerlens Noel, Kotoch says the Magic "would be strongly inclined" to trade the first overall pick, because they don't want to lose out on McLemore.

Kotoch says the Magic would trade down for McLemore, if possible, but he characterizes obtaining Michigan Wolverines point guard Trey Burke or Indiana Hoosiers swingman Victor Oladipo as "fallback" options.

McLemore earned Consensus All-American second-team honors for his freshman season at Kansas, during which he averaged 15.9 points in 32.2 minutes per game on a tidy 49.5 percent shooting from the field. His three-point touch makes him a deadly scorer; he shot 42 percent from deep on nearly five attempts per game.
