The Orlando Magic's season is over, but some of their players are still drawing praise for their performances in 2012/13. ESPN commentator Bill Simmons had kind things to say about Magic forward Tobias Harris in the first part of his annual NBA Trade Value column.
"Now here's someone who is underrated!" Simmons says of Harris, whom he ranks 42nd on his Trade Value list. The scribe's funniest remarks come in the associated footnote.
"I mean, how in the [redacted] [redacted] of [redacted] did Milwaukee not know what it had here?" Simmons asks. "He didn't show ANY flashes in practice? I'm profoundly confused by that trade."
Orlando acquired Harris and Doron Lamb from the Milwaukee Bucks at the NBA trade deadline, sending J.J. Redick, Gustavo Ayón, and Ish Smith to Milwaukee in return. Redick averaged 12.3 points for the Bucks, shooting 40.3 percent from the floor and 31.8 percent on threes, but Harris soundly exceeded his production, putting up 17.3 points, 8.5 boards, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 blocks in pinstripes.
