The NBA's regular season concludes Wednesday night with the Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat squaring off in South Beach. Tipoff is set for 8 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida in the Orlando market. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 6 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando's last time out: The Magic went out with a whimper in their home finale, falling to the Chicago Bulls by a 102-84 final in a game that wasn't close over the last three periods. Carlos Boozer had 22 points, six rebounds, and four assists for the Bulls, while Tobias Harris scored 16 of his team-high 20 for Orlando in the third quarter.
Miami's last time out: Despite resting their five regular starters--that'd be Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Udonis Haslem, and Chris Bosh--the Heat picked up their seventh straight win Monday night over the Cleveland Cavaliers, 96-95. Rashard Lewis had 19 points, while Norris Cole added 16 and blocked Kyrie Irving's potential game-winning jumper with three seconds to play.
The last meeting: Miami extended its winning streak to 27 games with a 108-94 victory against Orlando on March 25th. The Heat took command of the game with a 20-2 scoring run bridging the third and fourth quarters, turning a 68-all tie into an 88-70 lead in just over five minutes of game time. LeBron James had 24 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists for the Heat, offsetting one of Jameer Nelson's best games of the season. The Magic point guard had 27 points, five rebounds, 12 assists, and two steals in defeat.
