The Orlando Magic will have Hedo Türkoğlu available on Wednesday night against the Charlotte Bobcats, but whether the veteran forward will play is still an open question. Türkoğlu is coming off a 20-game suspension for violating the NBA's banned-substances policy--he tested positive for methenolone--and, with the rebuilding Magic well out of the playoff hunt, coach Jacque Vaughn may elect to bench him the same way he's benched veteran big man Al Harrington. Vaughn would not comment on whether he'd play Türkoğlu on Wednesday.
The suspension as well as the broken hand he suffered on opening night have limited Türkoğlu to 11 games in the 2012/13 season. The 34-year-old is averaging 2.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game in 17.2 minutes.
"It's hard, man, seriously," Türkoğlu told the media on Tuesday before the Magic left for Charlotte, according to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel. Türkoğlu has been able to practice with the team, but league rules prohibited him from being at Amway Center on game nights.
