The Orlando Magic host the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night, but they aren't the only team in that game that will miss arguably its two best players. All-Star point guard Chris Paul and All-Star big man Blake Griffin did not participate in L.A.'s shootaround on Wednesday morning and won't play later that night, reports Dan Woike of the Orange County Register.
Paul has missed the Clippers' last eight games, during which time L.A. is 2-6, with a bruised right knee. Griffin was a late scratch for Monday's loss to the Washington Wizards due to a sore right hamstring. Eric Bledsoe and Lamar Odom are expected to start in their respective places.
In Orlando's surprising defeat of L.A. in January, Griffin scored a game-high-tying 30 points, but did not attempt a field goal in the fourth quarter as the Magic sealed the win. Paul, for his part, scored 10 points and recorded game-highs with 16 assists and four steals.
Magic wings Arron Afflalo and J.J. Redick will also miss Wednesday's game.
