After a nine-month layoff, Orlando Magic power forward Al Harrington will likely return to the court for NBA action on Tuesday in Orlando's road game against the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel. Harrington "told the Sentinel he expects to play," Schmitz writes. The high-scoring veteran last played on May 12th when the Los Angeles Lakers eliminated his Denver Nuggets from the playoffs
Harrington has missed the entire 2012/13 season as he's worked to rehabilitate from a staph infection in his right knee. Orlando acquired the Orange, New Jersey native from Denver in August as part of the trade which sent Dwight Howard to the Lakers.
Harrington said in December that he hoped to return by the NBA trading deadline on February 21st, but he missed that target.
"It's Been 10 Long Months and its time to step bk in the FIRE... Man I missed it," Harrington tweeted on Tuesday a little more than an hour before tipoff. "Been through ALOT to get back to this Moment."
