The Orlando Magic wrap a four-game homestand Friday against the Boston Celtics, another rebuilding squad.
Tipoff between Orlando and Boston is set for 7 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM in Orlando. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando's last time out: The Magic squandered a 19-point lead against the visiting Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, but still came away with the upset 98-90 victory thanks to Nik Vucevic's 30-point, 21-rebound effort. Arron Afflalo hit the go-ahead basket with 1:47 to play, and then Vucevic sank a two-point jumper to ice the game for Orlando.
Boston's last time out: The Celtics picked up the first win of the Brad Stevens era Wednesday against the Utah Jazz, 97-87, behind 20 points from Brandon Bass and 18 more from Jeff Green. Three-point shooting swung the game, as Boston sank seven triples to Utah's one.
In 2012/13: A much different Celtics team swept the Magic, 3-0, in the most recent campaign, winning each game by an average of 17 points. Former Magic guard Courtney Lee tallied 20 points to lead six Celtics in double-figure scoring on April 13th, a 32-point Boston win in which Orlando shot just 42.2 percent from the floor.
