The Orlando Magic played surprisingly competitive in all four games on opening week with a 2-2 record, beating the Las Vegas point spread in all four games. The Magic have three games this week, two of them at home.
Here is the schedule for this week for the Magic:
Wednesday, November 6th: Los Angeles Clippers at Magic, 7 PM Eastern, Fox Sports Florida
Former Magic fan favorite J.J. Redick makes his only appearance in Orlando this season, as does former Magic coach Doc Rivers, in his first season with the Clippers. Led by all-world point guard Chris Paul and power forward Blake Griffin, the Clippers are one of the favorites to win the Western Conference this season, and have started out the season 2-1.
Friday, November 8th: Boston Celtics at Magic, 7 PM Eastern, Fox Sports Florida
The Magic get their first look at the new-look, rebuilding Celtics, with new head coach Brad Stevens. No more Paul Pierce,Kevin Garnett, or Jason Terry as the Celtics acquired Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Keith Bogans, and MarShon Brooks from Brooklyn in the blockbuster trade. Boston is looking for its first win with an 0-3 record, and the Magic will likely be favored to win for the first time this season.
Saturday, November 9th: Magic at Atlanta Hawks, 7:30 PM Eastern, Fox Sports Florida
Dallas has a 4-3 record
The Hawks also have several new faces on the roster, including power forwards Paul Millsap, Elton Brand, and former Magic big man Gustavo Ayon, along with a new head coach, Mike Budenholzer. Atlanta, who is 1-2, has owned the Magic the last three seasons, winning the last ten games between the two teams since December of 2010.
