Magic vs. Spurs: Western champs visit Orlando

In June, Orlando's Black Friday guests came as close to winning a title without actually winning one as any team can get.

The Orlando Magic host the San Antonio Spurs on Black Friday looking to extend their winning streak to three games.

Tipoff between Orlando and San Antonio is set for 7 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM in Orlando. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.

Orlando's last time out: The Magic knocked off the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, 104-96, behind strong performances from Nik Vučević and Glen Davis. The starting big men combined for 40 points and 21 rebounds against Philly's overmatched front line. Arron Afflalo scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

San Antonio's last time out: The Spurs' 11-game winning streak ended Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, 94-88, despite Kawhi Leonard's 14-point, 10-rebound effort. The Thunder limited the visiting Spurs to 39.1 percent shooting and won the rebounding battle by a 51-45 margin.

In 2012/13: The Spurs had no trouble at all sweeping the Magic a season ago, winning the two games by a combined 35 points. On April 3rd, five Magic players scored in double-figures against San Antonio, but the three-point shooting of Danny Green and Gary Neal proved too much for Orlando to counter: the pair combined for eight triples on 15 attempts as the Spurs picked up a 98-84 win.
