The Orlando Magic have changed their starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks, according to John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com. Davis will start at power forward alongside Jameer Nelson, Victor Oladipo, Arron Afflalo, and Nik Vučević. Maurice Harkless will play off the bench for the first time since January 27th, a span of 52 games.
Orlando initially intended to start Tobias Harris at small forward, Denton says, but that plan changed in pregame warmups when Harris experienced discomfort in his left ankle. He sustained a high-ankle sprain in the preseason and only made his return in Sunday's loss to the Phoenix Suns, in which game he tallied six points and one rebound in 16 minutes.
Davis missed training camp and the entire preseason as he recovered from a July surgery to replace a screw in his left foot, the fifth metatarsal of which he broke in January. In two appearances, the veteran big man is averaging 13 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 50 percent shooting.
Tipoff between Orlando and Atlanta is set for 7:30 PM.
