On the second night of a back-to-back, Orlando faces the Suns, who are not so different from the Magic.

One night after a two-point defeat against the, Miami Heat, the Orlando Magic return home to Amway Center to take on the Phoenix Suns. The game pits two rebuilding clubs against each other, and the teams ties to one another: general managers Ryan McDonough and Rob Hennigan are good friends, while coaches Jeff Hornacek and Jacque Vaughn played three seasons together with the Utah Jazz in the late 1990s.

Tipoff between Orlando and Phoenix is set for 6:00 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM in Orlando. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 4:00 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.

Orlando's last time out: The Magic built a 16-point halftime lead against Miami on Saturday, but couldn't contain the defending champions after intermission: LeBron James and Dwyane Wade scored 19 points apiece in the second half, nearly matching the Magic's total output of 44 points between the two of them. Glen Davis led Orlando with 20 points in his first game in nearly a year.

Phoenix's last time out: The Suns ended a four-game losing streak Friday with a 98-91 win road victory against the Charlotte Bobcats. Channing Frye led all scorers with 20 points and five triples, while P.J. Tucker added 17 points.

In 2012/13: The Magic swept the Suns in the first year of their post-Dwight Howard rebuild, with an average victory margin of 14.5 points. Andrew Nicholson shone in the most recent meeting, scoring 19 points in 25 minutes off Orlando's bench as six Magic players scored in double-figures; J.J. Redick led the Magic with 20 points. Amazingly, the only Sun who played in that game and is still on Phoenix's roster is Markieff Morris.
