The Orlando Magic have made power forward Glen Davis available for Saturday's game against the Miami Heat, according to team communications director George Galante. Davis has not played since breaking the fifth metatarsal in his left foot on January 30th and has undergone two surgeries since to correct the injury.
"I’ve been waiting a long time," Davis said Saturday, according to John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com. "Whatever my teammates need me to do that’s what I’m here to do. It’s exciting."
Davis said on November 2nd that he'd been cleared to return to practice, but that he wanted to be patient as he worked his way back. "I'll be out there when I feel good," he said. On Tuesday, he said "it felt good" to return to practice.
Davis, 27, averaged career-highs with 15.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in the 2012/13 season, his second with the Magic.
