The NBA unveiled Friday 2014 NBA All-Star Game ballot with which fans can vote for the game's starting lineup. Voting is now underway via text message, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, the NBA Game Time apps, and NBA.com, among other methods, all of which the NBA details on its website at the link above.
Four Orlando Magic players appear on the ballot for the event, scheduled for Sunday, February 16th, 2014. They are swingman Arron Afflalo, rookie guard Victor Oladipo, third-year combo forward Tobias Harris, and third-year center Nik Vučević.
Afflalo, 28, is having the finest season of his career. Through Thursday, he's among six players averaging at least 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game, and he ranks eighth in True Shooting percentage among the 22 players scoring at least 20 points per game.
Oladipo, the second overall pick in June's NBA Draft, ranks second among rookies in per-game scoring (11.9), fourth in assists (three), and second in steals (1.6). The Indiana product is the only rookie on the ballot.
A high-ankle sprain has kept Harris completely off the floor for the Magic in 2013/14, but he emerged after arriving in Orlando via trade from the Milwaukee Bucks in February, leading the team in scoring at 17.4 points per game. Before the 2013/14 season began, he made clear that his goal is to become an All-Star.
As the NBA's fourth-leading rebounder in the season's early going, the 23-year-old Vučević has a strong All-Star case. He's rounded out his game with more efficient scoring (15.8 per on 57.5 percent True Shooting) and greater playmaking duties (2.8 assists per game).
All-Star Game balloting ends on Monday, January 20th. TNT will announce the game's starters live on TNT NBA Tip-Off on Thursday, January 23rd at 7 PM Eastern.
