The Orlando Magic end their two-game roadtrip Monday with a visit to TD Garden to take on the Boston Celtics, just three days after their last meeting.
Tipoff between Orlando and Boston is set for 7:30 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida and ESPN 580 AM in Orlando. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5:30 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando's last time out: The Magic dropped their second consecutive game Saturday, 104-94, in a visit to the Atlanta Hawks on the second night of a back-to-back. Arron Afflalo kept up his hot start to the season, scoring an efficient 23 for the Magic, but his teammates did not pick up the slack. Jeff Teague led Atlanta with 19 points and 13 assists, while Mike Scott added 17 off the bench in one of the finest performances of his young career.
Boston's last time out: The Celtics picked up their third straight win Saturday against the Miami Heat, getting the one-point victory as Jeff Green drilled a three-pointer over LeBron James in the right corner with no time on the clock. The trey was Green's fifth of the night and gave him 24 points. Six Heat players scored in double-figures, but Boston's edge in 10-5 edge in three-point baskets, and 39-31 edge on the boards were enough to compensate.
The last meeting: The Celtics forced the Magic to commit 20 turnovers on Friday when the teams met in Orlando, leading to 25 Boston points in a 91-89 loss. Brandon Bass had 16 points and seven boards, while Avery Bradley had 14 points, eight rebounds, and three steals himself in the upset win. Afflalo scored 23 points.
