Magic vs. Pelicans: Tobias Harris unavailable for Orlando

The Orlando Magic will play their home opener Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans without the services of combo forward Tobias Harris, coach Jacque Vaughn said in his pregame meeting with the media. Harris has yet to play in 2013/14 owing to a sprained left ankle he suffered during the preseason.

"I don't have a timeline for you," Vaughn said when asked if he knew when Harris and Glen Davis might be able to take the floor. "I can say that they are progressing and we'll just continue to evaluate them as they go through their protocol."

In more positive news, reserve shooting guard Doron Lamb will suit up Friday and will be available if Vaughn chooses to call on him. Lamb tweaked his right ankle in training camp and didn't play at all in the exhibition season. A knee injury cut short his Orlando Pro Summer League campaign.
