Orlando Magic announce plans for free open house on October 12th

The event will allow fans to meet current Magic players and choose ticket packages for the 2013/14 season.

Fernando Medina - Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic have planned an open house for Saturday, October 12th, at Amway Center. The free event takes place from noon-3 PM Eastern and allows fans to meet the Magic--"the entire Magic team" will be on hand, according to a press release--and to choose ticket packages for the 2013/14 NBA season.

Fans are invited to shoot free throws and layups, play pop-a-shot, or try the Wii, among other diversions. The Magic Dancers will be on hand to take on challengers in Dance Dance Revolution. The team also offers face-painting, photo opportunities "with Magic community ambassadors or legends," and access to the play area known as Stuff's Magic Castle.

The Magic will, of course, have a variety of ticket packages available for purchase. Seats that are available for season-ticket packages will be tagged, but flex plans--including a seven-gamer which affords fans the freedom to pick any seven games on Orlando's Amway Center schedule--will also be offered.

Parking for the event is available for free--on, the team is careful to note, a first-come, first-served basis--at the GEICO Garage. Guests can avail themselves of free popcorn and soda (Pepsi, one assumes) at the event.
