The Orlando Magic open their preseason schedule on Wednesday night with a visit to Jacksonville to take on the New Orleans Pelicans. Tipoff from Veterans Memorial Arena is set for 7 PM. The game will not be televised in the Orlando market, but will be available on radio via ESPN 580 AM. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover

Orlando's last time out: The Magic have yet to play this preseason. The latest word from training camp is that Doron Lamb suffered a "tweak" to one of his ankles during a scrimmage, and that coach Jacque Vaughn continues to experiment with lineups throughout camp.

New Orleans' last time out: Anthony Davis scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Pelicans to a 94-92 win against the Dallas Mavericks, improving their preseason record to 2-0. Brian Roberts hit the go-ahead jumper for the Pelicans, capping off his 17-point fourth quarter.

In 2012/13: Orlando split the season series with the then-Hornets, with each team winning on the other's home floor. The last meeting was on March 4th in New Orleans, where Arron Afflalo led five Magic players in double-digit scoring with 26 points.
