The Orlando Magic are in Texas for the second time in as many weeks Tuesday, this time to wrap the road portion of their exhibition schedule against the San Antonio Spurs.
Tipoff between Orlando and San Antonio is set for 8:30 PM Eastern on ESPN 580 AM in Orlando; the game is not available on local television. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 6:30 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.
Orlando's last time out: The Magic almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory Sunday against the Detroit Pistons, against whom they squandered a 23-point lead. The hosts needed a late layup from Kyle O'Quinn to secure the one-point win. E'Twaun Moore led Orlando with 14 points, while Victor Oladipo and Tobias Harris scored 13 apiece. Harris left the game late in the third quarter with an ankle injury and did not return.
San Antonio's last time out: The Spurs returned Saturday to the site of their crushing NBA Finals defeat against the Miami Heat, and they were not nearly as competitive in the low-stakes rematch. Miami walloped San Antonio, 121-96, behind an effortless 25 points from Dwyane Wade. For the Spurs, Kawhi Leonard posted 17 points in 12 minutes.
In 2012/13: The Spurs swept the Magic, to no one's surprise, with an average victory margin of 17.5 points. Danny Green and Gary Neal led the way for San Antonio in the most recent game, combining for eight three-pointers and 36 points overall as the Spurs cruised to a 98-84 win. Maurice Harkless led Orlando with 18 points, but he shot just 8-of-21 from the floor.
