The Orlando Magic will use a new starting lineup Friday in their preseason game against the Memphis Grizzlies, as Mary Stevens reports. Veteran big man Jason Maxiell will slot in at power forward, joining the usual foursome of Jameer Nelson, Arron Afflalo, Maurice Harkless, and Nikola Vučević.
Kyle O'Quinn started at power forward in the Magic's first three preseason games, and Andrew Nicholson got the nod there in Orlando's last outing Wednesday against the Houston Rockets. Maxiell gives Orlando a more physical presence against the hard-nosed Grizzlies. In three preseason appearances, Maxiell is averaging five points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Elsewhere on the Magic front, Tobias Harris will not play Friday, says Josh Robbins. He missed Wednesday's loss to Houston with a sore ankle, and the Magic are holding him out Friday as a precaution.
