Though the Orlando Magic surely made gains over the summer of 2013--adding the second overall pick in the Draft, in this instance the defensive ace Victor Oladipo, can do that for a club--the oddsmakers at Bovada.LV aren't terribly optimistic about their chances of improvement.
Bovada pegged Orlando, which is coming off a league-worst 20-win season, for an over-under of 24 victories in 2013/14. Only the Phoenix Suns (21 wins) and the Philadelphia 76ers (17) have lower over/under marks than the Magic.
In August, a panel of ESPN experts projected that Orlando would go 24-58 in 2013/14.
Prior to the 2012/13 season, Bovada set the Magic's over/under at 23.5 wins. Orlando might have exceeded that mark were it not for injuries to Glen Davis, Jameer Nelson, and Arron Afflalo; the trio of veteran leaders combined to miss 92 games.
