The Orlando Magic will give rookie guard Victor Oladipo the first start of his professional career on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks, reports John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com. Tobias Harris will also shift from the bench to the starting five, Denton says, as coach Jacque Vaughn has elected to give four players--including the starting backcourt of Jameer Nelson and Arron Afflalo--Monday off.
Oladipo, the second overall pick in June's NBA Draft, is averaging 14 points, 6.5 rebounds, six assists, and two steals per game through two exhibition appearances. The Magic are trying to give the Indiana product some experience point guard.
Free-agent signees Jason Maxiell and Ronnie Price also have Monday off. Price, a veteran point guard, has yet to make his Magic début.
