Orlando Magic guard E'Twaun Moore is making progress in his recovery from a sprained left elbow he sustained against the Washington Wizards on December 28th, and according to John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com, the second-year guard could return as soon as Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets, though a Saturday return against the Los Angeles Clippers is more likely.
Moore, 24, suffered the injury when he dove to the floor for a loose ball. Wizards swingman Cartier Martin landed on top of him in the scrum.
In Moore's absence, third-year guard Ish Smith has taken over as Orlando's backup to Jameer Nelson. The Wake Forest product is averaging 3.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, and one assist in that span.
Moore entered the season as Nelson's backup. He's averaging 8.9 points per game and leads the Magic with 39.1 percent three-point shooting.
