The Orlando Magic begin a five-game roadtrip Monday night against the Brooklyn Nets for the first of two games against New York's teams. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM Eastern on Fox Sports Florida in the Orlando market. The Orlando Pinstriped Post GameThread will appear at 5:30 PM in this StoryStream and on the cover.

Orlando's last time out: The Magic rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit Sunday against the Detroit Pistons, but couldn't close the game and lost by a 104-102 final. Brandon Knight had 31 points for Detroit to set a new career-high, while J.J. Redick scored 31 of his own to match his own personal best.

Brooklyn's last time out: The Nets closed a four-game roadtrip on Saturday with a 119-106 loss to the Houston Rockets, who blew the game open in the second quarter. Brooklyn fell despite an efficient 27 points from Deron Williams, while Houston enjoyed a 50-31 rebounding advantage.

The last meeting: The Magic hung tough against the Nets on November 30th and trailed by only a point at halftime, but Gerald Wallace hit four of his career-high-tying five three-point baskets in the third period as Brooklyn pulled away. Glen Davis scored 16 points to lead the Magic, while Redick missed all four of his shots and scored just two. Due to tendinitis in his left Achilles', starting point guard Jameer Nelson did not play.
