The Orlando Magic are one of several teams to express an interest in Memphis Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay, reports Bill Ingram of HOOPSWORLD. Ingram says "the Grizzlies are exploring Rudy Gay's trade value" and cites Magic guard J.J. Redick as one "interesting name" that's come up as they've conducted that search.

Gay, 26, is in his seventh NBA season and is posting 17.8 points per game on career-worst shooting numbers: 41.4 percent from the field and 31.2 percent from three-point range. His career averages stand at 17.9 points per game on 45.3 percent shooting and 34.4 percent three-point shooting. The Connecticut product has two years and more than $37 million remaining on the max-dollar, five-year contract he signed in 2010, according to ShamSports.

As Ingram points out, Memphis is motivated to trade Gay so it can move below the NBA's luxury-tax threshold.
