One of the biggest decisions in Rob Henningan's young tenure as Orlando Magic general manager is forthcoming: what to do, if anything, with J.J. Redick at the trading deadline and whether or not to re-sign the veteran shooting guard in free agency.

Redick's productivity and expiring contract are sure to make him a hot commodity on the trade market as the February 21st trading deadline draws nearer, especially as teams look to shore up their second-unit scoring. According to John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com, Hennigan has told Redick "that several teams around the league have an active interest in trading for him."

The good news for Redick is that Orlando seems keen to keep him, at least for now. "At the (trade) deadline, maybe there’s an offer that (GM) Rob (Hennigan) has to consider. But I don’t get any indication from him that they are actively looking to move me," Redick said, according to Denton. Redick told Chris Tomasson of Fox Sports Florida that he does not want the Magic to trade him, but he did say, "I like winning." Orlando has lost 10 straight games, its longest losing streak in Redick's tenure with the team.

Now in his seventh season, Redick's 14.5 points and 4.6 assists per game stand as career-bests and are good for fourth and second on the team, respectively. His True Shooting mark of 57.7 percent leads Orlando rotation players.
